Naperville Elderly Homes, Inc. was established as a nonprofit by a board of directors which the Naperville Council of Churches appointed in 1967 to plan and bring to fruition an apartment complex in Naperville for senior citizens.
The board, after electing officers, engaged the services of a consultant and proceeded to select a site, architectural firm and applied for financing from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The financing was approved in October 1971 and the ground breaking was done the following month on November 5, 1971.
